Scheduling and Further Information

Before joining the grief and loss support group, a brief consultation takes place to discuss the type of loss experienced and the individual’s needs. This ensures that the group’s supportive atmosphere is safe and constructive for all participants.

What can it help with?
  • Bereavement (loss of a family member, perinatal grief, friend, pet, etc.)
  • Divorce
  • Infidelity
  • Job loss
  • Any experience perceived as grief or loss by the participant; groups are organized thematically around similar experiences

How a session is structured

  • During the first session, we sign a confidentiality agreement with participants
  • The first two sessions are open for newcomers to join
  • From the third session, the group becomes closed – no further external participants may join
  • A series consists of 8 sessions, extendable at the request of participants

Childcare

During the sessions, childcare can be provided for participants upon prior arrangement.
